Hi, we’re Nic and Court — the couple behind Rock and Fern Studio, a small art and statuary business based in Ferndale, WA.

We started this studio as a way to bring more art and imagination into our lives — and hopefully into yours, too. Nic has a BA in Fine Arts from Western Washington University, and while her art has long been a beloved hobby, we wanted to create a way to share it more widely. Court, meanwhile, has spent years in warehouse work and was ready for a change — something hands-on, expressive, and meaningful. Discovering concrete statuary offered the perfect path: a way to be creative, connect with nature, and build a business from the ground up.

Together, we paint and produce hand-crafted concrete garden statues and original wall art — all inspired by the natural charm of the Pacific Northwest. Every piece is made with care, weatherproofed to last, and painted with a blend of realism and whimsy. We value small details, fun colors, and things that make you smile when you walk by them.

We don’t have a storefront (yet), but you can find us at local craft fairs and online, serving our fellow PNW plant lovers, gift givers, and art collectors. Rock and Fern is proudly women-owned, local at heart, and rooted in the belief that even the smallest details can brighten a space.
